For all instrumentalists, regardless of musical experience Small-group learning, Direct engagement with world-class artists and institutions ----- Through music we encounter culture, people, and the world We nurture sensitivity, intellect, creativity and experience the world in depth The international cultural programme for teenager We believe that experience has the power to open the future —— [ Discovery Pathway ] Programme highlights include: • Listening Beyond Music: Sound & Perception - Inspired by the work of Prof. Eric Clarke, Emeritus Professor of Music, University of Oxford. • Special visits and lectures at Steinway Piano London and other instrument workshops • A “Taste × Sound” sensory workshop in collaboration with a former Michelin three-star head pastry chef • Royal Opera House backstage experience • Special observation of Proms rehearsals at the Royal Albert Hall • Discussions with West End / Broadway musical performers on the theme of "pursuing dreams" • An exploratory listening activity inspired by Prof. Eric Clarke - Professor Emeritus of Oxford University, with students’ reflection papers to be shared with him following the programme. • The multicultural co-creation “Nextone Workshop” at the Royal Academy of Music and more. [ ORTE Young Ambassador Programme ] Participants of the programme will become eligible to join future ORTE Japan Share Programmes as: “ORTE Young Ambassadors” [ Application Requirements ] Curiousity - Open to young musicians of all levels, age 6-19 *Age 6-11: A short online video interview with the ORTE Director may be required. [ Programme Fee ] £600 (Includes all programme activities, daily meals, and Arts Award registration) ・A £50 non-refundable application fee is required upon submission and will be deducted from the total fee. * Friend Referral Scheme Both the referrer and referred participant receive a £50 discount. [ ORTE Young Musician Award ] Partial or full scholarships may be awarded to highly motivated applicants. Please note that the ORTE Team will carefully review all motivation letters as part of the selection process.

Important Policies / Terms • The £50 application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. • Successful applicants must confirm participation and complete payment of the remaining programme fee within 3 days of receiving the offer. Failure to do so may result in the place being offered to an applicant on the waiting list. • Programme fees are non-refundable once participation has been confirmed, except in cases of force majeure or significant international disruption. • ORTE does not arrange or take responsibility for international travel, accommodation, visas, insurance, or related matters. • Participants and guardians are responsible for ensuring appropriate travel arrangements and supervision outside programme hours. • By participating in the programme, participants and guardians consent to the use of photographs and video recordings for ORTE’s educational and promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing. • ORTE reserves the right to make reasonable changes to programme content, faculty, schedule, or venues if necessary. • Please review ORTE’s Safeguarding Policy available at the bottom of our website before applying.
