Service Description

An immersive international music and cultural experience programme for teenagers (Age 6–19), open to both young musicians and those with a strong interest in music, offering a world-class experience that develops artistic sensitivity, intellectual curiosity, and cultural understanding beyond performance skills. Redefining music as a lived experience through culture, history, creativity, and human connection. No formal professional training is required — curiosity and passion for music are the only prerequisites. [ Programme Highlights ] All experiences are specially curated for ORTE and are not available through public programmes. Upon successful completion, participants will receive Arts Award certification. • Royal Opera House backstage tour • Theatre Royal Drury Lane backstage tour with West End artists • Discussion session with West End artists & international performers “Pursuing Dreams Through the Arts” • Royal Albert Hall backstage tour & Proms rehearsal observation • Workshop experience at Steinway London Piano • Workshop experience at Royal Academy of Music (Strings) • Royal College of Music Museum Lecture Tour — Exploring music history through historical instruments • Taste × Sound sensory workshop — In collaboration with a leading UK pastry professional • NEXTONE Workshop • International cultural exchange with fellow participants and more.. [ ORTE Young Ambassador Programme ] Participants of the programme will become eligible to join future ORTE Japan Share Programmes as: “ORTE Young Ambassadors” [ Daily Meals Included ] • The Rice Boy (Japanese cuisine) • The Cedar Restaurant (Lebanese cuisine) • Gail’s Bakery [ Application Requirements ] One motivation essay (max. 300 words) [ Programme Fee ] £650 (Includes workshops, programme activities, meals, and Arts Award registration) ・A £50 non-refundable application fee is required upon submission and will be deducted from the total fee. *Friend Referral Scheme Both the referrer and referred participant will receive a £50 discount. [ ORTE Young Musician Award ] Partial or full scholarships may be awarded to highly motivated applicants. Please note that the ORTE Team will carefully review all motivation letters as part of the selection process. *Age 6-11: A short online video interview with the ORTE Director may be required.

Important Policies / Terms • The £50 application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. • Successful applicants must confirm participation and complete payment of the remaining programme fee within 3 days of receiving the offer. Failure to do so may result in the place being offered to an applicant on the waiting list. • Programme fees are non-refundable once participation has been confirmed, except in cases of force majeure or significant international disruption. • ORTE does not arrange or take responsibility for international travel, accommodation, visas, insurance, or related matters. • Participants and guardians are responsible for ensuring appropriate travel arrangements and supervision outside programme hours. • By participating in the programme, participants and guardians consent to the use of photographs and video recordings for ORTE’s educational and promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing. • ORTE reserves the right to make reasonable changes to programme content, faculty, schedule, or venues if necessary. • Please review ORTE’s Safeguarding Policy available at the bottom of our website before applying.
